Cut Calendar

A cut plan says what to cut. The Cut Calendar says when.

It is the fourth view on the Production Order's Cut Plan tab: a month grid with one card per Cutting Order, which you schedule by dragging.

Getting there

Open a Production Order → Cut Plan tab → Calendar.

Unlike the other three views, the calendar is order-wide, not per-fabric — it shows every Cutting Order on the order at once, because a cutting room schedules the whole order, not one fabric at a time.

Reading the grid

Each card is a Cutting Order: its code, quantity, colourway with a unit colour dot, fabric, workflow status, and its Production Unit. Hover for a tooltip with the per-size cut quantity and the marker ratio behind it.

Colour comes from the Production Unit, so the split between two cutting rooms is visible without reading a word. The unit filter at the top narrows the board to one of them.

Grey cards are Cutting Orders on other Production Orders. They aren't yours to move, but they are competing for the same tables — scheduling around them is the whole point of showing them. The list is capped so a busy month stays readable.

Hatched days are non-working. Full holidays are hatched red, half-days blue with a ½. Holidays come from the Holiday List on each Production Unit involved in the order, falling back to the company's default list.

The Unscheduled tray holds cuts that have no date yet.

Rescheduling

Drag a card onto a day to schedule it. Drag it to the Unscheduled tray to clear the date.

The card moves immediately and the save happens behind it. If the save fails, the card snaps back — you never end up with a board that disagrees with the database.

Using it

• Right after the cutting wizard. The wizard creates cuts; the calendar is where they get dates. Doing both in one sitting is the natural rhythm.
• When a fabric lands late. Drag the affected cuts forward and watch what they collide with, instead of finding out on the day.
• When balancing two cutting rooms. Filter by unit, then filter by the other, and even the load out.
• Before a holiday week. The hatching makes the lost days obvious before you have promised a date to anyone.

On the floor

The same schedule reaches the cutting room through the Cutting App, whose Plan tab is a mobile day view: day pills across the top (Overdue · Today · Tomorrow and on), a hero showing how many pieces are to cut and how many are done, and the day's cuts as cards. See Cutting App.

Overdue cuts are pulled forward into their own pill rather than left behind on a past date, so nothing goes quietly missing.
