Floor Monitor
Floor Monitor is the andon board: one screen showing every Work Center in the plant and the machines on it, refreshing by itself. It is meant to live on a wall display in the maintenance office, or on a supervisor's second monitor.
Where the Maintenance home page is a summary you check, Floor Monitor is a screen you leave open.

Reading the board
The header chips count Work Centers, and how many are Running, need Attention, or are Down.
The KPI strip is the last 90 days across the whole internal fleet:
- Availability — uptime as a percentage of machine-hours.
- Breakdowns — how many failures were logged.
- Avg Repair (MTTR) — mean time to repair a completed breakdown.
- MTBF — mean uptime between failures.
- Downtime — total hours lost.
The left rail lists internal Production Units and their Work Centers, worst first — the unit with a machine down sorts to the top. Each row shows the station icon, its machine count and a red flag when something is down.
The stage shows the selected centre's floor grid: machines in their real positions, coloured by health, with a legend and a star on critical machines.
The board picks the most critical centre on first load, refreshes every 30 seconds, and keeps your selection across refreshes. Click any machine tile to open its drawer — the same drawer as on the Work Center form, so a maintenance tech can report or resolve a breakdown without leaving the board.
Only Internal Production Units appear. Subcontractors' floors aren't yours to monitor.
The four states
| Colour | Machine | Work Center |
|---|---|---|
| Green | Running | Nothing flagged |
| Amber | Service Due or Under Maintenance | A machine needs service, or the centre is set to Maintenance |
| Grey | — | Off, Idle or in Setup |
| Red | Breakdown | A machine is down, or the centre is set to Problem |
Using it well
- At shift start. Look at the rail top-down. Anything red gets an owner before the line loads.
- During the shift. Leave it up. A machine reported from the floor turns the tile red within 30 seconds.
- At shift end. Anything still amber is tomorrow's preventive-maintenance list.
If the board is empty, no internal Production Unit has Work Centers yet — see Work Centers.
