Confirmed orders and the BOM produce the requirement per size. Consumption is what the last marker used, not a figure typed in years ago.

02 · Buying

Purchase orders at landed cost

Suppliers, RFQs, purchase orders. Landed cost includes freight, insurance and duties, valued FIFO or LIFO.

03 · Stock

Roll and lot, in and out

Every receipt by roll and lot, with the mill certificate attached to the material. Issues to cutting, returns from the lines, transfers to a workshop — every movement valued as it happens.

04 · Reconciliation

Reconciliation that closes

Issued, cut, returned, scrapped — the gap is on screen, by batch, the same week.

87–92% fabric utilisation

Depending on the style. What is left over runs to about 6% — usually negotiated into a larger order with the customer rather than left on the shelf.

Materials sit between orders and production. The requirement comes from the order; the issue goes to the cutting table; the consumption comes back into costing as the real fabric cost per garment.
